Regulatory & Public Meetings
Open HousePATH recently hosted public open houses in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

If you could not attend one of the 20 open houses, the Online Open House Experience will provide you with much of the same information. You will find links to a collection of informative videos, maps, photos and other material designed to answer your questions about the PATH project.

Applications for regulatory approvals in affected states will be filed in late 2008, following the completion of routing studies.   All expert testimony submitted in the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) applications will be posted on this page for public view.

The state regulatory approval process is expected to take about a year, and will include numerous opportunities for public input.  Dates for public input hearings will also be posted on this page.

Based on the ownership structure of the AEP-Allegheny joint venture, separate operating companies will apply for permission to build the separate segments of the PATH project.

PATH Allegheny Transmission Company, LLC (PATH Allegheny) will seek authority to build the Bedington-Kemptown segment from the respective state utility commissions the lines cross.

PATH West Virginia Transmission Company, LLC (PATH WV) will seek authority to build the Amos-Bedington segment.
